Workshop #2 by Apreski and Dora Daar

Date: 3-12-2020
Modality: Presencial, Nômade Lisboa, Portugal

The word altar comes from the Latin altārium, meaning “higher place,” which reflects how symbolically sacred and important it is in spiritual practice. Altars can be constructed of man-made or natural materials and they exist in almost every religion and culture.

An altar serves as a visual focus of your spiritual intentions, affirmations, prayers, and energy. It also serves as a place to go, be quiet, re-calibrate your mind, and re-ground your energy.

This workshop was a collaboration with Apreski, where we invited 8 participants for a three hour gathering at the magical Nômade Lisboa house and created altar’s.

“This workshop is an invitation to discover and learn together how to build and connect with a personal altar at home.

It is a key time to bring back the significance of reclaiming a sacred space of our own and for setting intentions that will help us navigate through uncertainty.

We will be working with different materials that will be hand given on that day to create together an altar and also learn about the importance of these materials for a deeper connection with one’s own space.“
